The development delivers a mix compliant with the SHMAR and a generous quantum of public open space. The scheme was very well received by the local residents and commended by the Local Authority.
This site proved a challenge as two public footpaths and a watercourse crossed the site. The new village green was welcomed by the Parish Council. Planning Consent was secured at the beginning of 2016.
Constraints included a public right of way, Listed Building and an oil pipe running across site. We achieved the desired coverage for our client and utilised the easements as green corridors and areas of new public open space.
Two existing footpaths crossed site and the planners were keen to see the existing landscape enhanced by strategic woodland belts. The site plan was turned around by us within 1 week of instruction. Following comments from the Local Authority, we resourced accordingly to provide them with a revised site plan within 3 days.

We worked closely with the Ecologist and Landscape Architects to produce a layout that respected all trees and hedgerows on site to the delight of the client.
Our scheme incorporates a 50 room sheltered living apartment block and 14 associated bungalows. We have worked proactively with the Local Authorities and delivered both live/work units and self build plots on site. Existing mature hedgerows have been designed into the scheme.
