We love the opportunity to get people thinking about architecture as an integral part of the human experience. We present schemes to the public as part of our design process.
Our unique DASLite
We once thought that the pre application process was lacking key ingredients required to sell a scheme to the Local Authority. Design and Access Statements (DAS) provided all this, but at a later stage. We have therefore introduced the DASLite, a unique design document that we prepare for all our pre application enquires. These documents have proved very successful and have given the Planning Officers the confidence to progress schemes knowing that all design criteria has been fully considered from a very early stage.
Coverage is Key
We know achieving coverage and DPH figures are important to our clients, and we design in such a way that not only achieves this but without the sacrifice of green space, landscaped public realm and fully integrated connectivity. In fact, we have exceeded coverage targets in the past to the point we have been asked to double check!

Every space is different. Every structure has its unique reason for existing.

We might produce a thousand ideas before arriving at the perfect one for a project or client. It’s a necessary part of the creative architectural process and one that we take seriously. Here’s how we do it:

  • Start with a project brief
  • Create a series of development framework ideas or mood boards
  • Use these to build a concept, working closely alongside the client
  • After a number of design sessions the final draft begins to emerge
  • Present final concept to the client
  • Rigorously review goals and objectives to ascertain if the design meets all the required criteria
  • Deliver the project!

3D Visuals

We know a 3D Render or artistic impression can not only allow you, the client, to see the scheme beyond the 2D realm of the page, but also they can also sell the scheme to the Local Planning Authority, neighbours and Local Councils. 

Their use during Planning Applications have been very successful. We produce 3D visualisations as part of our service if required. We have also been asked to model third party schemes that struggle to get their design intent across.

Ashley Thompson

Ashley is an RIBA Chartered Architect with a wealth of experience within the residential, commercial, industrial, educational, hotel and leisure sectors. He has been responsible for designing and delivering multi-million-pound spa and hotel projects for our array of global clients and major residential and mixed use schemes for a host of national UK developers and promoters. Ashley has also achieved an MA in Landscape Design completing his Thesis in Roman Renaissance Gardens.
